I am so excited to announce that I am almost finished with my title Meet Mabel Molby!!! It has been some time since I started, well it feels that way to me. Writing it, of course, as you may know, for me, is simple. I just write down stories from within. It takes minutes, literally. Illustrating it… It takes what seems forever. But, the good new is, I am getting better at the craft; so, that’s a good thing.

I still have to do a little more work on the cover but this is what I have for now.

I am down to the last few pages of the book. Then I can yell out, I’M FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But then comes final editing, the formatting of it [Since I create my

ebooks and paperbacks at the same time and they both have different formatting requirements], come up with a blurb [I am not good at writing blurbs for my books, at all], finalize the cover, and then, finally, the actual publishing of it [pretty much easy]. Then at that time, I will yell out, MABEL MOLBY IS PUBLISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a good feeling.

Now on to the title. You are going to love Mabel Molby. She is such a doll, and so adorable. In a Meet Mabel Molbynutshell, Mabel lives in a town where everyone is pretty much just alike. They see her as being different, and they feel sorry for her. The interesting thing, however, about Mabel, is that she doesn’t seem to care that she’s different. To be truthful, she doesn’t even notice that she is different. She’s just minding her own business and loving life, and herself. I just love her, and she is a wonderful example for us all to follow.

Also, as a side note, the story comes with colorful, thoughtful, and sometimes funny illustrations throughout. I am a mom, so I know how important it is to have pictures on each page when reading an ebook to younger children. I designed this story, as with all of my stories, with that in mind. The age range for this book is from Kindergarten through fourth grade, depending upon the child.

Here’s a small excerpt from the book:

And when she plays on the slide… It’s so weird! She climbs to the top and slides down just like everyone else, BUT when she hits the bottom of the slide, she takes off running, as fast as she can go, yelling and laughing around the whole park!

Everyone looks and shakes their head.

POOR, WEIRD MABEL MOLBY.

Why can’t she just fit in?

Well, I better get back to the story. I will let you know as soon as both versions are available. So very excited!!!

Happy reading!

Best,
Cat
