Yay, another one of my stories that I am bringing back to the market…

Short little back story:  The Sad Snowman is the first book that I published, the FIRST, back in 2010.  I had other stories written, with copyrights, but, The Sad Snowman was published first.  SO very excited to finally be a published author.  Later I added to the story, changed the illustrations a bit, and added to the title, Storyteller’s Edition.  Much later I removed it completely from the market.

Funny:  When I look back at the original story published, I almost can’t believe that I actually published it in print. The illustrations were eye bulging, mouth widening, unbelievable. The first thing out of my mouth when I viewed it years after creating it was, “Oh my gosh… What was I thinking???” And then there was the hysterical laughter from my kids. Yeah, not good.

Present:  I am SO pleased with how the story is turning out.  The illustrations take so much time, however, I am hoping to be able to finish the story TONIGHT, God willing.  I will post some before and after pictures, as I illustrate, so that you can see the difference between the first time I published and now.  I know that your craft gets better after time, practice, and experience, but these before and afters, to me, are like, “Uh, yeah, she probably should’ve waited until her craft was much better before publishing that.”

Right now, I can show you the before, after, and now book covers.

The Sad Snowman Covers

Ok, The original snowman is just a little too simple.  I know that simplicity, at times, is the way to go, but not in this instance.  The Storyteller’s Edition’s cover is not that bad.  The coloring could have been better.  The current cover, well, now looking at it against the other covers, it looks kind of sci-fi’ish, right???  I still like it though.  Perhaps it may add some intrigue.  Well, as I said, I will continue to post before and afters separated into different smaller posts.

Happy reading!

UPDATE:  I have yet a new cover!  This one is the best yet!
